LeenDirect: immediate access to even more music
This must sound like music to the ears of music lovers: direct access to the biggest music collection in Europe. As a member of The Hague library, you can borrow materials through the internet from the Central Music Library in Rotterdam. All thanks to the LeenDirect Service!
Besides the extensive music collection on the fourth floor of the Central Library, the 300,000 CDs, 3,000 music DVDs and 300,000 albums in the Central Music Library in Rotterdam are available to you directly. All you need is a membership card from The Hague Public Library and an e-mail address.
What do I need to do to be able to use LeenDirect?
Register
You can register by showing your membership card at the customer service desk of your branch. You should also have a valid e-mail address. As soon as you have registered you can request any CDs which are not in the collection in The Hague through MuziekWeb, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You will automatically receive an e-mail message when your order is ready for collection in the library. You can collect materials ordered through LeenDirect by showing your e-mail message at the branch where you are registered. (In the Central Library, you can collect your materials from the issue desk on the ground floor).
What does it cost?
Registration itself is free. You only pay per request, i.e. price of an interlibrary loan request of € 4.00 per request. This can be paid at the issue desk when you collect the ordered material.
How long may I keep the materials?
The same loan conditions apply to the materials from LeenDirect as for material from our own collection.
Please note: your registration for LeenDirect is linked to your membership of The Hague Public Library Service. This means that when your membership expires, you will no longer be able to request CDs from the Central Music Library in Rotterdam.
All conditions of the lending regulations of The Hague Library also apply to borrowing CDs from the Central Music Library in Rotterdam.
